海外にいるのに、日本語教師資格の勉強をしている不思議。笑
それにしても、日本語がどれだけ難しいのかが分かります。

It's a wonder I'm studying for my Japanese teacher certification even though I'm overseas.
But still, I can see how difficult the Japanese language is.

オーストラリアはホテルも外食も高いでしょ！とか言われるけど、
宿はAir bnbで手配した、6名のシェアハウスです。一泊4千円しないかも。
食事も基本的に自炊なので、食材は日本と変わらないです。

そりゃ、普通にラグジュアリーホテルに泊まれば3万円くらいするし、
ハンバーガーは千円以下では無理です。

People say that hotels and eating out in Australia are expensive and overpriced.
I found accommodation in a shared house with 6 other people through Air bnb. The cost per night is less than 4,000 yen.
The food is basically self-cooked, so the foodstuff is the same as in Japan.
That is, if you stay at a luxury hotel, it usually costs about 30,000 yen.
You can't get a hamburger for less than 1,000 yen.

という説明は端折って、「そう？」と笑っておいた。

次の打合せ場所に社用車で移動中、
なぜかモニターに「右リアタイヤの空気圧低下」のエラーメッセージ。
高速に乗る直前だったのですが、
300ｍほど先にオートバックスがあるのを思い出してそのまま乗り入れ。


診てもらったら、トレッド面に斜めに釘が刺さっていました。
あのまま高速にのっていたらバーストしていただろうし、
たまたますぐそこにオートバックスあったし、不幸中の幸いってこういうこと。

とりあえず車預けて、打ち合わせ場所へは電車移動に切り替え。
スタッフに連絡したら、最寄りの「神崎川」駅へ向かえと即指示してくれる。
ほんと、スタッフ頼もしい。
「えー、でもここ、ちょっと僻地。タクシーとか通りそうにない…」と呟いたら、
目の前の路地から空車タクシーが現れる。結果、約束時間には間に合いました。

私ね、やっぱりついていると思うんだよな。


While traveling in the company car to the next meeting place, for some reason, I noticed an error message on the monitor that said "low air pressure in right rear tire".
It was just before I got on the highway, but I remembered that there was an Autobacs about 300 meters away, so I drove straight in.
When I got the tire checked, I found a nail stuck in the tread surface at an angle.
If I had continued on the highway, it would have burst, and there happened to be an Autobacs right there, so it was a blessing in disguise.
I left the car there and switched to train transportation to the meeting place.
When I called the staff, they immediately instructed me to go to the nearest "Kanzakigawa" station.
My staff is really reliable.
This place is a bit remote. I lamented, "It's a bit remote here, there's no chance of getting a cab..." But then an empty cab appeared in the alley in front of me.
As a result, I was on time for the appointment.
I guess I am a lucky guy after all.

一本8,000円。オールインワンとはいえ、年齢も年齢だし、安くはないやつ。

それがね。
定番の4,000円のやつが、超絶リニューアルしたという。これでもかという宣伝。
んじゃ、デラックスはどうなるの？
高価格帯の顧客を置き去りにしたら、マーケティング的にはあかんと思うねんけど。
ということで、とっとと定番コースに乗り換えました。
同じことしてる人、多いと思うんだけどなあ。マーケティングの失敗例。

I continue to use this lotion on the recommendation of a former cosmetic maker friend.
I don't wear much makeup, but I do spend some money on lotion.
I dare to use "Deluxe" which is one rank higher than the standard one.
One bottle costs 8,000 yen. Even though it is an all-in-one, I am of age, and it is not cheap.
That's it.
The standard 4,000 yen bottle has been renewed. They are advertising it as much as they can.
What about the deluxe?
I don't think it's a good idea from a marketing point of view to leave customers in the higher price range behind.
So, I quickly switched to the standard course.
I'm sure many people are doing the same thing. Marketing failure.

歴史をやっていたので、五節句はけっこう大切にしています。

I majored in history, so the five festivals are quite important to me.

四本目を立てました。近いうちに五本目も立ちます。

零細企業の経営者として、善き組織をつくろうとは思うけど、
結局、お客様から「いい仕事してくれてありがとう」と言ってもらえていなければ、
給料高かろうが、福利厚生整っていようが、仲間の仲が良かろうが、
全部上っ面だと思ってんだけど、いい組織ってなんだろうね。

組織は学校じゃないし、リハビリ施設でもないし、よい仕事をするところです。


As a small business owner, I do try to build a good organization.
But at least in the end, if the customers don't say, "Thank you for doing a good job," it doesn't matter how high the salary is, how good the benefits are, or how well the employees get along with each other, it's all a facade.
What is a good organization?
An organization is not a school, it is not a rehab facility, it is a place to do good work.

333時間くらいってことか。

飽き性っぽく思われがちだけど、一度決めたらやり続けるタイプです。

I've been speaking English online for a little over a year. Almost 20,000 minutes.
That's about 333 hours.
I tend to be thought of as a person who gets bored, but once I make up my mind to do something, I keep doing it.

とはいえ、
最近は変化のスピードが速すぎて、学べども学べども、終わらない。
私たちのような仕事は、アウトプットして、インプットし続ける生業。その循環。
それはわかっているのだけど、最近はほんと、枯渇が早すぎる。
人事コンサルでこれなんだから、経営コンサルってどうしてんだろう。

とりあえず、今日届いた5冊を今から流し読み。

Eternity and fashion.
In personnel matters, too, some things change and some things must not change.
However, the pace of change is too fast these days, and the learning never ends.
Work such as ours is a living of output and continuous input. It's a cycle.
I know that, but recently, the cycle is running out too fast.
If this is the case with human resource consultants, I wonder what management consultants are doing.

We held a meeting for the graduates of the Zero & Ichi terms (in Tokyo) of the online HR school "HR Manabi-ba".
We had participants from Hokkaido in the north to Kagoshima in the south, and even from Taiwan, but this was the first real gathering in Tokyo, since Anchan is in Osaka!
The richness of connecting beyond generations. The place connects people.

松下資料館(経営のすべてはここにあり)にて、「ドラッカー×幸之助翁」を学ぶ午後。
前職、広報部時代の上司が元松下電産さんで幸之助翁に育てられた一人でした。
だから私は、彼に幸之助イズムで育てていただきました。
ご指導くださった渡邊先生(PHP理念経営研究センター代表)は、
その上司のこともよく覚えていてくださって、ありがたかったし嬉しかった！

それにしても、ドラッカーと幸之助翁。
直接会ったことはないだろう二人の共通点に、経営の本質を噛みしめました。


修了後、同じ空間同じ時間を過ごした参加者の一人のコンサルタントの先生と
お話してびっくり！
なんと自宅が同じマンション！そんなこと、ある！？

全ては導かれているようです。


An afternoon of learning about "Drucker x Konosuke-san" at the Matsushita Museum (all about management is here).
My boss in my previous job, when I was in the Public Relations Department, was one of the people who were brought up by Konosuke.
So I was brought up by him with Konosuke-ism.
I was grateful and happy that Mr. Watanabe remembered that boss so well!
But still, Drucker and Mr. Konosuke.
I was struck by the similarities between these two people, who may never have met in person, and the essence of management.
After the seminar, I was surprised to talk to one of the participants, a consultant, who had spent the same time in the same space! She and I live in the same condo! How is that possible?
Everything seems to be guided.

I found a Daifuku cake, even though it's an English style cake shop! Of course, I bought two @ for myself.

担当くださっているディラーの店長が仰っていた話が、刺さりました。
「この仕事は大好きだけど、周囲や身内には勧めない。
本当にこの仕事が大好きでなければ、続かないから。
公休日は平日だし、公休日でもお客様が要請すれば出ていく。
普通に考えたら、理解されがたい。
ただ、好きだからという理由しかない。」

The manager of the dealership that handled my case told me something that really stuck with me.
He said, "I love this job, but I wouldn't recommend it to anyone around me or to my family. If you don't really love this job, you won't continue. My days off are weekdays, and even on my days off, I go to work if a customer requests it. It is hard to understand if you think about it in a normal way. The only reason I do it is because I love it."

ディーラーさんに自動車の法定点検をお願いして置いたら、
そのプロセスが動画で送られてきました。
信頼で成り立っているものの、お客様に可視化させようという取り組みなのだとか。

私たちコンサルのプロセスを可視化させたら、お客様、びっくりするだろうな。
膨大な勉強と、コンテンツ作成、生みの苦しみ…
誰もコンサルとかしたくないというに違いない。苦笑


I asked the dealership for a legal inspection of my car.
I received a video of the process.
I heard that this is an effort to visualize to the customer what is built on trust.
I think our clients would be surprised if we visualize our consulting process.
The amount of study, the creation of content, the pain of generating ideas...I bet they would say no one wants to do consulting or anything like that.
